House Rules at ULBACAMP

Check-in / Check-out / Stay

  • Check-in at 18:00, check-out by 16:00.
  • At check-in, inspect the room together with staff and note its contents.
  • At check-out, hand it back in the same condition.
  • An extended stay is possible if the cabin isn’t already booked.
  • If you arrive late or leave early for personal reasons, we cannot compensate you for that.
  • The number of guests must match the number of beds.
  • Park cars only in the designated parking area.

Pets

  • Dogs and cats are allowed, provided your group books the entire cabin.
  • Exceptions: fighting dog breeds and “bear-type” dogs.
  • Walk pets on a leash and in a muzzle.
  • Owners must clean up after their pets themselves.
  • The owner must pay in full for any damage caused by their pet.

Fire Safety Rules

  • Smoke only in designated areas.
  • Do not light candles or sparklers inside the cabins.
  • Do not leave a lit stove with its door open unattended.
  • Light campfires strictly in designated areas.
  • Do not set off fireworks, rockets, flares or other flammable items into the air.
  • Do not dry clothing on electric heaters.
  • Use fire extinguishers only for their intended purpose.

Fine for violating fire safety rules: 20,000 KZT.

Prohibited

  1. Driving a car, snowmobile or ATV around the grounds.
  2. Washing cars on the camp grounds.
  3. All guests must take care of the cabins’ property and the surrounding nature.
  4. Guests will be required to pay for any material damage. The amount is calculated by management at market value. The camp administration is not liable for unlawful actions in nature (unauthorized logging, fire safety violations, etc.) — tourists are personally liable under the law.
  5. Playing music or otherwise disturbing neighboring guests near or inside the cabins after 23:00 is prohibited.
  6. Do not pollute or litter the forest area and surrounding grounds. Put trash in the provided bags and dispose of it in the bins.
  7. Do not consume excessive amounts of alcohol.
  8. The camp reserves the right to refuse accommodation for failure to comply with the above rules, without reimbursing the cost of the tour.
  9. The administration is not liable for: injuries or harm to guests during their stay or while using equipment, medical expenses arising from accidents or other insurable events, or the safekeeping of personal belongings.
  10. Any disputes between guests are resolved through the administrator.

To prevent unpleasant incidents, theft or looting, the camp is under outdoor video surveillance.

The camp’s house rules are very simple. If something isn’t covered here, it can be arranged individually.

Rules for Participating in Freeride Tours and River Trips

  1. These rules constitute a public offer.
  2. The tour price may vary depending on the tour, booking time, or number of people. Prices typically rise as the powder season (February-March) approaches and available spots are sold.
  3. A prepayment, as specified in each tour’s description, is a mandatory condition for booking a spot on any tour. This is usually 30-50%. The price is locked in at the moment the prepayment is made. Your participation is confirmed once you receive a notification via WhatsApp or Instagram. The remaining balance is paid upon your arrival. Payment methods are described on the Payment page.
  4. The prepayment is non-refundable if canceled less than 7 days before the tour! Rescheduling is possible by agreement with the administrator, subject to availability. If there is a price difference, an additional payment will be charged. If your preferred dates are unavailable, the prepayment is not refunded.
  5. The minimum quorum for a tour to run is 4 people. If you wish, you may come as a pair and simply pay for the minimum quorum.
  6. If the quorum isn’t reached 3 days before the tour start, the tour is canceled. In this case, the prepayment is fully refunded.
  7. The maximum group size is 12 people. The tour can start at air temperatures no lower than -30°C.
  8. Routes are chosen by the guide based on the group’s technical and physical abilities, as well as weather conditions, snow cover, and avalanche risk. The number of ascents and descents per day depends on the above factors, the riding area, and the length of daylight at that time of year, and is usually no more than 2.
  9. It is not the guide’s responsibility to carry you up or down, break trail alone for the whole group, or carry everyone’s gear and food.
  10. At the guide’s discretion, a participant may be temporarily or permanently removed from riding. Grounds for removal may include:
    — failure to follow the guide’s instructions;
    — a level of technical or physical fitness too low to keep up with the group’s pace;
    — intoxication;
    No compensation is given in such cases.
  11. Participants who are unable to start the route for reasons beyond their control are refunded, minus the cost of accommodation, the bathhouse, and the guide’s services.
  12. No refund is given for failing to start the route in circumstances beyond our control. These include: a participant’s faulty gear, a participant’s physical or psychological condition, weather conditions, emergencies, or a group decision.
  13. No refund is given if the trip fails to meet participants’ expectations regarding the quality or quantity of snow, weather conditions, safety conditions, etc.

Rules for Participating in River Trips (All Types)

  1. These rules constitute a public offer.
  2. The tour price may vary depending on the tour, booking time, or number of people. Prices typically rise due to logistics or when there are too many or too few participants.
  3. A prepayment, as specified in each tour’s description, is a mandatory condition for booking a spot on any tour. This is usually 50%. The price is locked in at the moment the prepayment is made. Your participation is CONFIRMED once you make the prepayment. The remaining balance is due one week before the tour starts. Payment methods are described on the Payment page.
  4. The prepayment is non-refundable. Rescheduling is done by agreement with the administrator, subject to availability. If there is a price difference, an additional payment will be charged. If your preferred dates are unavailable, the prepayment is not refunded. If you paid the full price and cancel less than a week in advance, no refund is given — unless you find a replacement for your spot yourself.
  5. The minimum quorum for a tour to run is 6 people (for rafting). For packrafting, the quorum is 4 people, but individual or pair tours are possible, with pricing calculated individually in that case.
  6. If the quorum isn’t reached 3 days before the tour start, the tour is canceled.
  7. The maximum group size is 12 people. The tour cannot start if the air temperature is below 10°C, or during heavy rain or storm-force wind.
  8. It is not the guide’s responsibility to drag you through shallow water or carry you, or to carry the raft and gear alone. You are a team — we work as a team.
  9. At the guide’s discretion, a participant may be temporarily or permanently removed from the trip. Grounds for removal may include:
    — failure to follow the guide’s instructions;
    — a level of technical or physical fitness too low to keep up with the group’s pace;
    — intoxication;
    No compensation is given in such cases.
  10. No refund is given for failing to start the route in circumstances beyond our control. These include: a participant’s faulty vehicle, a participant’s physical or psychological condition, weather conditions, emergencies, or a group decision.
  11. No refund is given if the trip fails to meet participants’ expectations regarding the quality or quantity of water, weather conditions, safety conditions, etc.
  12. Participants UNDER 18 are NOT permitted on river trips, under any circumstances.
